Pattack Falls

Pattack Falls lay smack bang in the middle of Scotland and right on country’s watershed. The water that tumbles over this small cascade goes on to join Loch Laggan, then the River Spean, ultimately entering Loch Linnhe  (the sea) at Fort William. However, within a kilometre to the east of these falls, a stream flows east into the infant River Spey that finally empties into the North Sea at Spey Bay. Just a two minute walk from the car park, Pattack Falls are very accessible resulting in the hardest part of the shot was selecting a foreground, for which I settled on some plump rowan berries, indicating the transition from summer.
